Radical Gender Theory Comes to the Heartland. Springfield Public Schools, the largest public school district in Missouri, has adopted a radical gender-theory training program that encourages teachers to believe that “gender is a universe” and to affirm sexual identities such as “non-binary,” “pansexual,” and “polyamorous.”
Governor Parson Speaking in Columbia Tomorrow
Governor Parson will be touring the state to meet with farmers and ranchers, businesses owners, community leaders, and other hard-working Missourians to discuss the importance of extending key agricultural tax credits and cutting the state income tax.
This past session, agriculture tax credits for urban farming, agribusinesses, and ethanol and biodiesel market development, among others, were extended for only two years, while other tax credit programs were extended for a minimum of six. This is a hindrance for project development and investment, and Governor Parson believes Missouri farm families deserve better. These credits are critical for inviting investment to Missouri, increasing market access for farmers and ranchers, and reducing costs for consumers at the grocery store and gas station.
Governor Parson is also calling for the largest tax cut in state history. With Missouri unemployment at an all-time low of 2.8 percent, a historic general revenue surplus, and revenue collections up by nearly 40 percent over the year, Missouri’s economy is strong and now is the time to put Missourians’ hard-earned dollars back in their pockets. Governor Parson’s plan is permanent tax relief for every taxpaying Missourian.
“We are calling for six-year minimum extensions on these critical agriculture tax credits because two-year sunsets are problematic and reduce the benefit to Missouri farmers and ranchers,” Governor Mike Parson said. “Additionally, to help fight inflation, high gas prices, and rising grocery bills, we want to provide permanent tax cuts for permanent relief, not temporary stimulus. Our plan will cut income tax in the State of Missouri by more than $700 million. We want to be clear this isn’t a onetime deal, our plan means $700 million returned to taxpayers every year.”

Want to Get More Involved with Pachyderms?
This is the time to start thinking about being a club or state-level Pachyderm officer for 2023. Please email lupoa0313@gmail.com directly to learn more about state-level leadership opportunities. Speak to Jim at a meeting or email him at JMeyer@MeyerWorks.com regarding potential club-level opportunities. It does require a time commitment for our local club to grow and be successful, but the time you put into being a leader is rewarding. You also can network with fellow Pachyderms around the state more easily.
